I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.

Can you employer offer you a position that you can take?

Customer
Im in isolation for 14 weeks but my doctor found out im not be able to work for a month for health issues so I sent a doctors note to my employer from august 9 to september 4.I will have a doctor visit tomorrow septamber3.
Customer
I mean 14 days in isolation.not 14 weeks

So do you mean that employer is not agreeable to your not working until the doctor says you can return?

Customer
Employer agreed and they told me I can avail short term dissabilty for 17 weeks but I have to pay 100% premiumi wich is $103 monthly.

Debra, Expert

But does your employment contract say that you have to make 100% of the premium payments if you are on short term disability?

Customer
I have no idea because I have not seen the employment contract since I signed since 7 years ago.The latest I signed is the agreement when I get laid off march 22,2020 and recalled agreement.

This doesn't sound right to me at all.

I suggest you ask for the contract and ask for them to show you where you agreed to responsible for all the payments when you are off on STD. It makes no sense.

And if they say it's not in the contract then they have to make the payments and you can sue them if they won't.

Does that make sense?

Please feel free to post back with any follow-up questions you may have. If you don't have any then I hope I have earned a 5 star rating but if you don't feel that I have please don't hesitate to reply back and let me know what more I can do to assist you.
