I just viewed your post. Can provide more information regarding the demand letter sent to you. Los what is the nature of the debt that is alleged as outstanding and the subject of collection?
Customer
Thank you for your prompt response. Here is a copy of the demand letter that my partners sent to me. these are bitcoin investments. They sent me their investments in the form of bitcoin through my bitcoin wallet and send them to the broker who holds the funds and I was I told them that the funds will generate some certain profits.

Ok so what is the question you want answered?
img

James Macdonnell, Expert

it looks like they want a repayment plan. How long has the investment company had the funds? What did you advise the investors of about a rate of return?
Customer
they want a repayment plan and they want me to come up with that 17k to invest again to another platform so I can pay them of the money that we lost. The investment platform had the funds more than 3 months. From 10% 65% depends on their funds and that amount in the letter is the total.
Customer
My question now is, what would be my option once they filed that lawsuit against me?

Is it your fault that they lost money on the investment? Or was it beyond your control?
Customer
Is it your fault that they lost money on the investment? Or was it beyond your control? They were claiming that its my fault since I have the direct contact to the broker but all their funds including mine was received buy the broker and promised that it will be received after 10 weeks and thats the the message I relayed to the people who invested with me. We were all waiting for our payouts that never happened. The website never give us the information of the person that posed as a broker and have me trade.

What steps have you take. To contact the broker?

You and investors should team up to jointly sue the person you invested with.
Customer

Customer
