Hello - My name is ***** ***** I'm happy to assist you today. I am an Ontario lawyer who is able to answer tenancy law questions.
Since you share a kitchen and bathroom with this tenant, you are not covered by Ontario's Residential Tenancies Act which has it's benefits and drawbacks.
The drawback is that you cannot use the formalized eviction provisions stated under the RTA or use the Landlord and Tenant Board to evict your tenant but the benefit is that you are not limited to the reasons in the RTA for evicting a tenant.
In your case, I would suggest that you apply a reasonable approach to your eviction of this tenant in that you notify her in writing that you want her to move out and give her a reasonable time to move.
Does this answer your question ?
