Debra, Expert

I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.

But what is your specific legal question for me please?

Customer
She says she has somebody moving in July 1st I do not have a place on July 1st can she kick me out on July 1st
img

Debra, Expert

Well no she can't actually kick you out because she would need an order for eviction but if you don't move out and she has to get that order and she is sued by the tenant that's moving in you will be liable for all the damages that she has to pay that tenant.

So if that tenant needs to have an extra move paid for as well as storage fees and has to live in a hotel until you get out of your unit you are going to owe all of that money. It is really vital that you move out even if you cannot be forced out. The damage could be substantial and you will be liable.

Do you see what I mean?
