I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.

Are you saying that you have been acting under a power of attorney for Gregory? But it is only for health issues?

Why is the PG &T involved if you are there?

Are you asking what to do with the cheques you are still receiving?

Do you know who is in charge of his file at the PG&T?

Customer
It has been a bit confusin for me as well. When Greg was hospitalized last year, it was determined that he culd not live alone and there was no safe place for him to stay. With Social services at the Hospital, he was finally sent to the "Manage Alcohol Program"" at the Shepherds of Good Hope Shelter in Ottawa. Actions were taken between the Shelter and ODSP and the amount on the cheque was reduced from $1069 to $672 starting in December 2019. I was asked to cover the costs for the shelter ($550) per month. I used the rest of the money for some alcohol, cigarettes and joints. I received a letter from PG&T in December but I tought the matter had be resolve when ODSP made the changes. I received a reminder from PG&T last week asking me some documents.

So why don't you call this woman and ask them for what they want exactly and give it to them?

It sounds like you are not in a position to be able to take care of Greg and make decisions for him so don't you want that to be the responsibility of the PG&T?

And ask them if it is the case that while they are the guardians of his money whether you can still make decisions about his care because of the POA.

Does that make sense?

Please feel free to post back with any follow-up questions you may have. If you don't have any then I hope I have earned a 5 star rating but if you don't feel that I have please don't hesitate to reply back and let me know what more I can do to assist you.
