Where do you live?

How often do you see your kids?

Customer
My youngest is 16. My other is legal adult. 20.
Customer
But my youngest is now keeping me from seeing them.
Customer
He did so many underhanded and despicable things to prevent me from seeing the kids right from the start. He lied to me and told me the papers that I was signing so that they could immigrate to Canada word forms that he needed so that he could have them ensured and Canada.
Customer

I cannot answer until I get the other answers.

Where do they live?

Where do you live?

How often do you see your kids?

Customer
I live i the US and they live in Canada. The custody arrangement was for joint custody. After they moved to Canada it was every other weekend until he decided one a month was enough. Now he's say he's not anymore.

What province are they in and does your 16 year old want to see you?

Are you American and are the kids dual citizens?

Customer
I have text messages as physical evidence. They live in Ontario. They have permanent residence.
Customer
They are still US citizens.

In Ontario a child at 16 can live where ever they want. If you were living in Canada they could come live with you.

For now you are stuck because you cannot enter Canada until the border re-opens. After that you can come to Ontario and the father cannot stop the child from seeing you.

The older child is an adult and can do whatever he wants.

As well, you can retain a family lawyer in the city where your children live and have the lawyer assist you in gaining access to your 16 year old including facilitating the child to travel to see you.

Does that make sense?

Please feel free to post back with any follow-up questions you may have. If you don't have any then I hope I have earned a 5 star rating but if you don't feel that I have please don't hesitate to reply back and let me know what more I can do to assist you. Finally, please know that even after you rate me I will be here for you and you can ask follow-up questions if you think of them later on at no further charge of course.

Customer
It makes sense to find a lawyer in Canada yes.

It is a good time to find one. Lawyers are working from home and worried about money and want new clients for sure.

Customer
Sounds good.
Customer
But with my financial situation I would require payment arrangement or probono.
