I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation. What province are you in please? What is your name doing for you?

I am sorry for the terrible typo. I was trying to ask you what your union was doing for you and spellcheck did something silly.

If there is a grievance hearing booked for after COVID then that is the best you can hope for now. No one can get around the COVID situation legally. There are no hearings of this sort now at all and for clear reasons.
Your union owes you a duty of fair representation and if you find down the road that they are not representing you fairly then you can file a complaint of unfair representation with the labour board against the union and seek damages.
As well, if you can show that the union cannot or will not help you then you can later file a complaint of discrimination with the Human rights Tribunal. You can complain that this is a case of discrimination on the basis of disability in the workplace. You cannot do this now though. For now you will have to wait until this crisis has passed.
Does that help?

There is nothing more you can do but wait then.

Here's what I think. You are a teacher and you are lucky because you have a strong union. Your union has filed a grievance. If it doesn't work you have also filed a complaint with the human rights tribunal.
That is all you can do and so that is all you should consider it for now.
It is hard to wait when you are anxious and feeling that something is unfair but you cannot do anything more and so you should simply wait.

But as you are not teaching now you are safe from that environment until the grievance.
