You will have to show a return ticket at the time you were entering Canada.

You need to show sufficient funds for the trip. If you are staying with someone and they provide you an invitation then they can state in that letter that they are providing you with room and board and you won't have a show quite as much money. There's no set amount of money that you have to show but if you are traveling with family you will have to show a higher amount for example.
