Customer: Query regarding Canadian work permit- I am currently in US on HIB visa which expires in first week of Sep.2019. My company is trying to file Canadian work visa. I already did the biometrics last week and waiting for further response from them to sent my passport. since the HIB expiry is in first week of Sep I am not sure if I will receive my passport back by 1st week of Sep 2019. Can I go to my native county and sent the passport from there inspite of the fact that biometrics has been done in USA?

Are you simply asking if you can go home for a while and send your passport from home?

Customer
when my HIB expires in sep i would need to return to my home country, but the candian visa is still in progress and biometrics already completed in usa so do i have option to sent my passport from my home?

Debra, Expert

Yes you can.

It doesn't matter where you send your passport from. You are doing all the documentation and biometrics the way they are needed to be done but it doesn't matter where you are when you send in your passport.

Please feel free to post back with any follow-up questions you may have.
