Are you saying that you are renting from the dad's mother and she told you that she was called by a lawyer to tell you about a court date?
Legal Ease, Expert
Did you speak to the lawyer and where are the legal documents?
Legal Ease, Expert
Thanks but what I was asking about is where are the documents for court and why were you not served?
Legal Ease, Expert
I just answered your other post.
Read that answer and do what I suggest and then rate that post.
When you have followed that answer and have the information come back to this post.

I will be here when you need me after you figure out what is actually going on.
Thanks

Do you know who the lawyer is that called your mother-in-law?
Legal Ease, Expert
Is he in Nanaimo?

Call him on Monday and ask for an adjournment. Make it clear you have never received any documents.
Ask for the documents and time to retain a lawyer. Say you have to apply for legal aid.
If that doesn't work let me know.
Please feel free to post back with any follow-up questions you may have. If you don't have any then I hope I have earned a 5 star rating but if you don't feel that I have please don't hesitate to reply back and let me know what more I can do to assist you. Finally, please know that even after you rate me I will be here for you and you can ask follow-up questions if you think of them later on at no further charge of course.

I would keep trying and document all the tries. It is deliberate.
Call the court and ask how you can seek an adjournment from another province.

Thanks for letting me know.
If you want to ask me another question please start a new post. I cannot answer now but will answer later on this evening.
