Expert's Assistant chat
Customer: Our family CAS lawyer is telling us, for the upcoming status review on Nov 26th, it is not being seen in front of a judge, and no reason to even go. Even though the court order sent, says specifically, that Primary/Custody issued on July 29th, shall be for only 4 months. As well, as per reported by a different party, that we had no previous contact with ever (ex girlfriend), He has in fact violated the court order. And caused neglect towards the child. CAS does not know this. But we have the recording as to what was reported. he also has un unlicesened firearm in the house, with a lifetime ban on firearms. How could none of this be relevant?

I am sorry to hear this.

Are you asking me why your lawyer said you don't have to go to court?

Customer
What I am wondering, is why if the court order states, that the order for primary care is for only 4 months effective July 29th, then why is this court date on Nov 29th, for a status review, not in front of a judge. Because time is out. And due to new material circumstances why would their not be a motion to change primary care.

I don't know what is going on.

What could be happening is the status review is with respect to the CAS involvment and not about the issues between you and the father.

So ask your lawyer when the custody issue is going back to court and why it is not now since the 4 months has passed.

Please feel free to post back with any follow-up questions you may have. If you don't have any then I hope I have earned a 5 star rating but if you don't feel that I have please don't hesitate to reply back and let me know what more I can do to assist you. Finally, please know that even after you rate me I will be here for you and you can ask follow-up questions if you think of them later on at no further charge of course.

The status review is with CAS, with my daughter. We were told by judge, on Nov 26th likelihood is supervision order would be dropped. it has almost been completely dropped by CAS. I am the supervisor.
why if the court order is up on Nov 26th, would it not be in front of a judge?
Customer
I have spoken to CAS concerning my daughter's case. I am good. I understand completely now what is going on. No need to reply.
