Expert's Assistant chat
Customer: Florida CPA question regarding duty and ethicsMy business partner is holding back a distribution payment that clearly has not been paid. The companies accountant will not provide the analysis I need to show the discrepancy. I just need her to validate number of payments and confirm. Is there a accounting board that I can seek help in this situation. Is there an organization that could look at this information and give an opnion if I am correct or maybe I am reading the information incorrectly?

to be clear the accountant for the business won’t provide the needed information to confirm whether the distribution was made? Why are they refusing please?
Customer
withholding funds so that I do not hire an attorney to interfere into a lawsuit that I did not consent for my companies to sue.
Customer
simple as that. this is causing other finacial problems for me personally and professionally. I depend on that distribution.

Oh no.  So a business is governed by its operating agreement.  As such if a distribution is required and it is not being made the party that should have received it can file for breach of contract and request as damages a money judgment for the amount at issue as well as a court injunction directing the company to pay the distributions per the operating agreement or other documents that govern these obligations.
Customer
could I do that as a emergency hearing in a lawsuit filed by my companies without my consent that which I plan to file a motion to intervene? The point is to restrict my income so that I do not sue, thus I must file myself

Unfortunately normally solely monetary issues are not considered emergencies.  So it would likely be placed on the regular calendar which can take weeks or even months to here.   I do wish I had better news but I want to be forthcoming with you
