Customer: I own an Insurance Independent Agency. I purchased it November 1, 2020. I did not realize until after when I was trying to file it under me through the SOS that he had not put it in his name. The business was under the original owners name. The agency came with issues with TDI that I was unaware of so the agency lost is license to conduct business. I then transferred all the contract under my individual license as a sole proprietor. I have never worked under the name of the business. The SOS told me they would forfeit the business name if they don't receive the 2020 financials report. I called the original owner and he says he has nothing. What can I do? Should I start from scratch because at the moment I am just listed as the Registered Agent and the original owner is still listed as the President and Director.
