Customer: Sorry to disturb you.
I have one question, some offences are not listed in the Criminal Act and are prosecuted by the Government Department rather than Police. And some of those offences carry a maxium penalty of 10-60 penalty units.
If someone is found guilty of that type of offence (maxiumpenalty of 10 penalty units) will it show on that person's criminal record? Thank you

Hi! My name is***** a solicitor in Australia, and I’m happy to help you.

All penalties that involve the court will appear on your national police certificate. They will appear for a 10 year period.

Hi, Jogn. Regarding the offence of Failure to update address on driver licence on time.
My friend is worried. If the Authority finds out my friend failed to update address on driver licence 4 times (because he moved house 4 times), will my friend get 4 infringement notices or will he get prosecuted directly?
Customer
Hi John. Sorry, this is the last question

If no infringement notices have been issued, tell your friend to update their license and everything should be okay.
