Customer: I have infringement notices that date back 5 years under a Company name that I have just been made aware of. I have spoken with both SPER and Traffic camera office and was advised to apply to have the infringements withdrawn so they could be reissued with a current date. Sper has rejected my application meaning that the penalty is 5 times the amount as normal plus fees. I wish to persue this matter in court. What more information can i give you?
JA: What state are you in? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: Qld
JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: Obtained copies of original notices, spoken with SPER and Traffic camera office and advised to have notices withdrawn so they could be reissued. Then I got a refusal from SPER with my options of payment or court.
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: I have conducted most of these proceedings through email so I have a paper trail of evidence to support my case.

I am just following up in regards ***** ***** infringement notice that was issued five years ago and the penalties that you want to challenge. You will be able to put your case before the court, and as you are a director of that company, you can explain to the court your circumstances surrounding this particular issue which has developed over the last five years.
By putting a good case forward before the court you give yourself the optimum chance to minimise the penalty and come to a solution with the court.
Please let me know how you go with your matter.

I wish you a pleasant Tuesday morning.
