Customer: I was charged with threats to kill about a year ago, with an AVO put on me also... because of a nasty, threatening letter + a small fruit knife that was put in someone I don't like's letterbox, which I was accused of.but DID NOT DO. I was supposed to attend mention hearing yesterday at frankston magistrates' Court in Melbourne, but I missed it . What are my options if any?
JA: What were you charged with exactly? Do you have any upcoming court dates?
Customer: Will I be arrested?
JA: In what state did this occur?
Customer: Victoria
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: The person was an ex friend who flirted with my bf for over a year, then had a brief affair (1 month) with during the time of the letter being put in her letterbox. I have been "setup" + have to prove I'm innocent. I have not ever been charged b4. She is a lying, homewrecking person with no morals, even though she goes to church, she is far from Christian. She beat me up a year or 2 ago for trying to get him out of her place (10 hour visit) as they both flirted with each other + made it hard for me to handle. But, I did handle it all + now my bf is back with me (3 months now)

Hi! My name is***** a solicitor in Australia, and I’m happy to help you.

As you have missed your mention hearing, there's a probability a warrant for your arrest has been issued. What you should do is contact the court immediately and they will provide you with the requisite information concerning what the court requires you to do.

When you ring the court, provide the case reference number that's on the documentation you have.

Have I answered your question? If any part of my response is unclear, please let me know. It’s my goal to deliver excellent service, so please let me know if there is anything more I can do. Thank you for using our site.

Customer
I just get off the phone from ringing the court.
They said there's been a warrant issued for my arrest and then I should get down to my local police station ASAP and sort it out with them what to do next. Do you think I have a good chance of staying on bail or getting put in the cells until the matter is heard again?
Customer
That would be the absolute worst scenario for myself if they put me in the police station cells..

I wish you a pleasant day.
Customer
I'm worried !!
I don't want to be punished for something I have NOT done. Have taken my fingerprints in a sample of my handwriting and I'm still waiting to hear if they have been able to find any finger prints on the paper or the knife at all!? If they do, I want that person charged for "framing" me. What is the name of the charges if that was so please?
