You should not pay any money to these people.
You can contact ACORN to notify other people.
Also, if you have not done so already, you should contact your bank and change all; passwords, and credit cards for extra security.
I suggest you format your computer as well, and if you are not sure you can request computer services and they will explain how to do so.
The reason why you should reformat your computer is just in case there is a hidden virus in your computer that is tracking your key clicks and other data and sending it to parties who may commit crimes against you at a later date.
Many online crimes occur over time by a party, watching your actions through the computer. That is how they steal information for bank accounts, etc..
So, in summary:

[2] cancel credit cards and get new ones.
[3] Reformat computer.
[4] Contact ACORN
