I totally understand your frustration about the fridge. You will have a claim of right under the Australian Consumer Law, Competition and Consumer Act, Schedule to 2010.
I suggest that you issue written correspondence to the retailer seeking a full refund and where they do not provide a refund or other options to you you may commence proceedings in the Victorian civil administrative tribunal for compensation.

Ok, i will try going through the retailer Harvey norman, although i have been dealing directly with panosonic an made multiple phone calls and emails requesting repairs and claim for compensation but they will not reply.
