Customer: Our company is operating a food delivery service platform, www.yorigo.net (similar nature to Ubereats/Menulog/Doordash).
We are planning to commence liqour sales and would like to consult legal implications with you.
JA: What state are you in? And have you consulted a local attorney?
Customer: NSW
JA: Has anything been officially filed? If so, what?
Customer: No not yet Two big questions
JA: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: As we are a third party, we assume that we don’t need a license on our own. We would like to confirm.
We are in the process of having a service agreement with a bottle shop which has a packaged license. All transactions will be processed through our online platform (by Stripe) and we will pay the merchant excluding our service fee on a weekly basis. All deliveries will be done by an external delivery provider. Would it be legitimate? What legal implications should we consider apart from the RSA requirements (intoxication / age etc)?

Thank you for your follow-up, in relation to your current situation, as have not received any correspondence from the other party etc, then in this particular case you don't need a license if you're just delivering the product. The license needs to be with the other party. So you're okay with what you were doing.

Hi John,
Our client would like to have a written confirmation that delivering alcohol through us (3rd party platform) is legitimate. Would you be able to provide a written confirmation? Please let me know.
Kind regards,
Amy
