Hi, I recently started a music based YouTube channel and artists send me their music. For the upcoming Christmas video, someone sent me a song titled "Little Drummer Boy" that in some parts of the track, covers the original "Little Drummer Boy" song. My channel is not currently monetized, but I hope to be able to do so in the near future. I'm wondering what type of clearance or licensing my channel would need to acquire to be able to use this song in our playlist for the video? I like the song, but also want to protect my LLC and YouTube channel.

Hello, I am a fiddle player. I have a song I released with an artist and good friend that I believe I deserve royalties on. Roughly 1/3 of the song is uninterrupted original fiddle melody by me including the introductory hook. The artist has agreed multiple times to give me royalties but says his legal team and managers are fighting against it. I bought a design (art) on Etsy.com. On the site page the seller gave me permission to use the design on items that I sell. We used the design to make garden flags. I received a letter from an attorney that is claiming that I am using the image with out the permission from the 'original' artist. They are demanding $5,000 in damages.

I am an inventor, philosopher and writer. Since July of 2021 I started using a 'Free Speech' social media app called GETTR on recommended of someone. I've been using this app daily for 16 months to post all my scientific ideas, inventions, philosophy, and writings for a book.. Suddenly and without warning, 4 days ago, I noticed ALL of my postings over the last 16 months 'disappeared'.. I've been asking the GETTR social media company to return/restore all my missing posted content. The company has been giving me a run around and are not resolving my issue.. I fear someone stole all my content for financial/commercial reasons.. I need help getting my published content restored so I have legal copywrite protections. All my work is documented in those published posts. Please help me.....

I purchased a beat from a producer. Another individual stole the beat off YouTube, registered it and published it on YouTube and other music apps. I also registered the beat and have proof from the original owner of my rights. What do I do?

I have a blog that I do 3 times a week. It is based on photography, and i pull many of my photos from Google, and the internet. If there is a photographers name on the photo, I always post that. I put my name on my photos as well. I recently got an email from Australia stating I violated the copyright law by posting a photo of his client on my blog. I looked at the blog and it is one I took from the internet, and at the time, and I still am not sure where I got the photo, there was no name on the photo. This blog was dated April 10th, 2019. I often get crazy emails that are just scam artists, and I want to see if this is a legitimate email, and If I need to worry about it. Can I send you a copy of this email?

I have a question about whose name should be on the copyright notice for a book that we are self-publishing, but with complex authorship. My grandfather wrote a bunch of anecdotes about his life; he died in 1991. My mother organized it all into book form and edited it. I edited it further, researched historical records to fact-check and add timelines, obtained and selected photos to illustrate it, and wrote most of the endnotes. My grandfather asked my mother to edit and get it published as a book, but she didn't before he died. Now she's old and asked me to, and gave me the rights to the book (via email message only). My grandfather didn't specifically give her the rights in his will, though she is the sole surviving heir (her brother died, though he does have a son that we don't know the whereabouts of). This is a self-publishing project not expected to make a profit. So, who claims the copyright in the copyright notice? And if Grandpa is on the copyright notice, can the date be this year even though Grandpa died in 1991.

Customer: I received a copyright notice stating that my Etsy listing is trademark infringement. Per the USPTO database, the accused trademark is not registered to the accusing party's LLC.

am a yacht broker. I took pictures under the assumption that when I sold the boat, I would benefit from the sale of the boat, thus there was no need to charge the client for use of the pictures I took with my camera/drone. The contract expired and in the process I also switched companies and the owner decided to stick with my original company with a different broker. Since I would no longer benefit from the sale of the boat, I asked them to take my pics/video down and use new ones. They havent. Am I in my right to file damages if the boat sells using my pictures?
